General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS)

1. Service Provider Identification

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern the services offered on the website www.marinahoffman.com.

Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these GTCS.

2. Services Offered

Marina Hoffman offers, among others, the following services:

• Argentine tango group classes;

• Private lessons;

• Workshops and intensive courses;

• Introductory classes;

• Practice sessions (prácticas), milongas, and other events.

The essential characteristics of each service (content, duration, level, location, schedule, and pricing) are specified on the website or communicated directly to participants.

3. Prices

All prices are stated in euros (€), inclusive of all taxes (VAT included).

VAT not applicable – Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

The applicable prices are those in effect on the date of registration.

4. Registration

Registration requests may be made by telephone, email, or through social media.

Registration becomes final once confirmed by Marina Hoffman and, where applicable, upon receipt of payment or the required deposit.

5. Payment Terms

Payment may be made using the payment methods accepted by Marina Hoffman (bank transfer, cash, cheque, or any other method agreed upon by both parties).

Payment must be made according to the terms communicated at the time of registration.

In the event of late payment, Marina Hoffman reserves the right to suspend the participant’s attendance until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.

6. Delivery of Services

Services are provided on the dates, at the times, and in the locations announced.

In exceptional circumstances (illness, force majeure, venue unavailability, or any other event beyond Marina Hoffman’s control), a service may be postponed or cancelled. Participants will be informed as soon as possible, and an appropriate solution (rescheduling, credit, or refund) will be offered depending on the circumstances.

7. Cancellation Policy

Private Lessons

Any cancellation made more than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson may be rescheduled.

Any cancellation made less than 48 hours before the lesson remains payable, except in cases of force majeure.

Group Classes

Class passes and subscriptions are personal and non-refundable, except where required by law.

Missed classes are not refundable.

Workshops and Events

Registration for workshops, introductory classes, prácticas, milongas, and other events offered by Marina Hoffman is made by contacting her directly (email, telephone, or any other contact method indicated on the website).

Unless otherwise specified at the time of registration, no advance payment is required. Payment is made on-site on the day of the event using the payment methods accepted by Marina Hoffman.

If a participant is unable to attend, they are kindly requested to notify Marina Hoffman as early as possible to facilitate the organisation of the event.

8. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Articles L221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code, consumers may, in certain cases, benefit from a statutory right of withdrawal.

However, pursuant to Article L221-28 of the same Code, this right does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date or according to a specific schedule.

Consequently, bookings for classes, workshops, introductory sessions, milongas, or any other events taking place on a fixed date are not subject to the statutory right of withdrawal.

9. Liability

Participants declare that they are physically fit to take part in dance activities and attend classes at their own responsibility.

Participants are responsible for informing Marina Hoffman of any health condition that may affect their participation.

Marina Hoffman shall not be held liable for accidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions or from a health condition incompatible with participation.

10. Personal Data

Personal data collected is used solely for registration management, communication with participants, and administrative purposes.

Such data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, or objection by contacting Marina Hoffman.

11. Duration of the Contract

The contract comes into effect upon confirmation of registration and ends once the relevant service has been completed.

Class passes and subscriptions remain valid for the period specified at the time of purchase.

12. Mediation and Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between the Client and Marina Hoffman, both parties shall first seek to resolve the matter amicably. The Client should submit a written complaint to Marina Hoffman.

If no amicable solution is reached, or if no response is received within one (1) month, consumers, as defined in Article L.612-2 of the French Consumer Code, may refer the matter free of charge to the approved consumer mediator:

If no amicable resolution can be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent French courts.

13. Governing Law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.
